In Paris, we walked and then we walked some more. It is a great way to get the feel of life here, the sights, the smells, the sounds in the market zone.
At first, It took awhile to figure out and identify the strange smell I kept coming across on our walks (it first reminded me of the smell of a hockey bag in full season, but it kind of grows on you after awhile). The smell would waft our way well before we could actually see where it was coming from, but then, ah ha, a fromagerrie would appear. A stocked full display would emerge storefront full of ripened soft cheeses with their full rinds and goey delights beckoning you in to sample and buy. As we walked each day in Paris, my nose was becoming acutely aware of what indeed lied ahead. My step would quicken and my path became instinctively guided til we arrived storefront.
Glorious cheese, si vous plait!
