"Oh The Places You'll Go"

I love that book by Dr. Suess! If you have stumbled across this blog check out post: 01 in the blog archive to get an idea of how Bert n Lou's Excellent Adventure came to be and then just follow along. Wine, food and fun are generally the prevailing themes throughout.

Cheers and welcome to Bert and Lou's Excellent Adventure!

Hello home, it's great to see you.

We are home.  A nights sleep on our own bed,
awwwwwww it never felt so good!.
Our son, our dog, our immediate family all under the same roof,
yes, it is a  mothers bliss!
Outside, there are clouds in the morning sky but the sun is rising and the faint blue is becoming visible through the suns rays.  Surprisingly our grass is still green and vibrant. Unless you step out the door you would never know it's November here in the Okanagan.  It's beautiful, it always was and always will be. I am glad I got to remember that this morning.
Our home is quiet right now, even Grover the dog is still asleep.  But I am up early  in anticipation of the day (or better said... days and weeks ahead!), time to start to download my pictures, catch up on the family news, local events and weeks of missed mail and yes to write.
Downloading my experiences through the keyboard to my blog, to a video is going to take a bit of time.   I am just realizing now, what I have got myself into.  It's not like I even have a choice now.  I have to do it, not cause I said I would, not cause I have a deadline or job pressure, but
because I am out of room to store any more memories, pictures, thoughts and words in my wee little hardrive of a brain til I download some of it.
There, that feels better already.  If I seem distracted and disjointed in my day to day life over the next week you'll understand why.  I will whittle away and hope it unfolds in a way that makes sense to anyone who happens to reads it.
But if not, that's okay too.
I am excited and content.
The bucket list is very small.

*this youtube video below fits in perfectly with my blog entry and features Vancouvers Michael Buble, with Music producer extrordinaire (and Victoria BC native)  David Foster.  The song is  "home" a song Buble co wrote with David's daughter Amy Foster.  And, if that's not enough ...they perform it with country star Blake Shelton at David's annual benefit concert that raises funds for sick children.  Man it makes me proud to be a Canadian.
