
Bert n I landed in Chicago about 1pm today took the blue line train 3O min to city core and toured the loop. Rainy and cool.
But the public art and architecture are way cooler!
Unbeatable value for a 2.25 train pass!
In the picture above I am standing in front of the Pablo Piccaso Scupture outside the Daley Square in the loop. Out front a farmers market is just shutting down around me.
Pumpkins in the foreground, Picasso behind....just an interesting mix. This sculpture, like a lot of great public art was deplored by many when it was first installed in 1967. I loved it, but it still draws comments from all sides to this day.
